Can atorvastatin be refilled through telehealth?
Established statin therapy may be appropriate for telehealth refill evaluation. The clinician may review your dose, cardiovascular history, prior lipid testing, medication interactions, and any new muscle or liver-related symptoms.
What information may be useful?
- Current atorvastatin dose
- Prior lipid panel results when available
- History of cardiovascular disease or diabetes
- New muscle pain or weakness
- Other medications that may interact with statins
When might more evaluation be needed?
Severe muscle symptoms, dark urine, significant liver disease, pregnancy, or major new medication interactions may require additional evaluation.
