Can this medication be refilled through telehealth?
Mounjaro contains tirzepatide and is approved for glycemic management in adults with type 2 diabetes. Your diabetes history, current dose, and monitoring may be reviewed.
What information may be needed?
- Current product, dose, and dosing schedule
- Date of last dose and any recent interruption
- Current weight and recent weight trend
- Original indication and prior prescriber information
- Recent A1C or glucose data when relevant
- Side effects, other medications, and relevant medical history
- Photo of the current prescription box, pen, bottle, or pharmacy label when available

The clinician may request prior prescription records, current dose, date of last dose, current weight, recent A1C or glucose data when relevant, kidney or liver information, pregnancy status when relevant, side effects, and other medications. A dose increase, restart after a prolonged gap, or change to a different product may require a broader evaluation.
When might GLP-1 continuation not be appropriate through a routine refill visit?
Examples include severe or persistent abdominal pain, repeated vomiting or dehydration, suspected pancreatitis, significant gallbladder symptoms, pregnancy, severe medication reactions, major recent dose changes, or other unstable symptoms. Emergency symptoms require urgent or emergency care.
