Can amlodipine be refilled through telehealth?
For an established patient taking a stable dose, amlodipine may be appropriate for telehealth refill evaluation. A current or recent blood-pressure reading is often helpful.
What information may be needed?
- Current dose and dosing schedule
- Recent blood-pressure readings
- Symptoms such as dizziness, fainting, chest pain, or swelling
- Other blood pressure medications
- Recent medication changes
When is routine refill care not enough?
Severely elevated blood pressure with concerning symptoms, chest pain, stroke symptoms, fainting, or other urgent problems requires immediate medical evaluation.
