Our Story: From Allen Primary Care to Texas ERs and Virtual Care

From Texas ERs to Your Screen — Medicine Without All the Miles

Family Medicine and Research Center, P.A. began as a traditional primary care practice in Allen, Texas, in 2013, initially at 977 Raintree Circle, Suite 210, Allen, Texas 75013. The Allen office is part of the founding history; Dr. Atudonyang no longer maintains an office there. Some of the patients first cared for through the original practice continue to see other providers in Allen, while others have sought care again from Dr. Atudonyang.

Physician education

Dr. Nicholas O. Atudonyang, MD, graduated from the University of Nairobi in 2005, as recorded by the Texas Medical Board. He completed Family Medicine residency with UT Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Health & Hospital System from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2013. His Texas physician license P7062 was issued July 1, 2013 and listed active on October 31, 2026, with an expiration date of August 31, 2028.

How emergency medicine became part of the story

According to Dr. Atudonyang's recollection, a recruiter named Heather with Emergency Staffing Solutions introduced him to ER shifts, beginning in Breckenridge, Texas, in 2013. Contemporaneous professional correspondence supports clinical work at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Breckenridge in late 2013 and 2014.

Over the subsequent 13 years, records of assignments, clinical coverage and professional affiliations document work across Texas, including Madisonville, Huntsville, the Dallas–Fort Worth area, Greater Houston, East Texas and other communities. Professional organizations represented in those records include Emergency Staffing Solutions, Intercede Health, Mint Physician Staffing, Altus, Grace ER, TotalCare and Wellness & Care Group of Texas. Not all historical scheduled assignments are counted as completed shifts.

Dr. Atudonyang also reports emergency medicine work at TotalPoint in Round Rock, in the Greater Austin area, in 2025. These are historical references, not claims of current affiliations or endorsements.

Clinical leadership and family medicine

Family Medicine and Research Center, P.A. is associated with physician Nicholas O. Atudonyang, MD. Salome J. Sutter, FNP, is a family nurse practitioner whose primary care work is also part of the broader family practice story. Each clinician’s availability and permitted clinical services vary by state and practice setting. For their current professional profiles, see Dr. Atudonyang and Salome Sutter, FNP.

Where we are going

Years of travel between hospitals, long shifts and encounters with patients facing very different access barriers helped inform the development of Americare Telehealth and MedRefillCare. Both are physician-led virtual care service brands associated with FMRC, designed to provide appropriate clinical evaluation without unnecessary travel when telehealth is suitable.

Americare Telehealth focuses on virtual primary and urgent care. MedRefillCare focuses on non-controlled medication refill review and treatment continuity. Prescriptions depend on clinical assessment, and emergency conditions require emergency services.

Our websites

Historical statements about the first office and the initial recruiting introduction are based in part on Dr. Atudonyang's account. Residency and Texas licensure are documented by completion certificates and official Board records. Historical professional email correspondence supports selected physician assignments; this public narrative deliberately excludes private patient data and internal contract records.
