1. Who we are
Americare Telehealth is operated by Family Medicine and Research Center, PA d/b/a Americare Telehealth. This policy applies to americaretelehealth.us and online services that link to it.
2. Information we collect
We receive information you give us directly, such as your name, contact information, appointment requests, and messages. Like most websites, our hosting provider also records basic technical information such as browser type, device type, IP address, and server logs.
3. The medication checker
The "Refill check" tool on our home page runs entirely in your web browser. The medication name you type is not stored, not sent to our servers, and not shared with analytics or advertising companies.
4. Health information and secure channels
Do not send detailed medical information, including photos of prescription labels, through ordinary email, standard text messaging, or a general contact form. Information you provide through our secure intake or during a visit becomes part of your medical record and is protected under HIPAA and Texas law as described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
5. How we use information

We do not sell personal information.
6. Service providers
We use vendors for website hosting, scheduling, email, communications, payment processing, electronic health records, and related functions. Where a vendor handles protected health information, we use a business associate agreement as required by HIPAA.
7. Google Workspace, appointment scheduling, video visits, and payments
Our appointment scheduling and telehealth workflow may use Google Workspace services, including Google Calendar and Google Meet. Family Medicine and Research Center, PA has accepted Google Workspace's HIPAA Business Associate Amendment for HIPAA-included Workspace functionality used in covered workflows. When you use Google services, Google's applicable terms and privacy practices also apply.
Payment processing may be provided by Stripe or another payment processor shown during booking. Payment processors receive information needed to process the transaction. We do not intentionally send medication names, symptoms, or detailed clinical information to the payment processor.
8. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We do not use advertising pixels (such as Meta or TikTok pixels), retargeting audiences, or session-recording tools on this website, and we do not currently use analytics or advertising tags. If we add a measurement tool in the future, such as one that counts clicks on "Book a refill visit," we will update this section before it goes live and describe what it collects. Any such tool will never receive medication names, symptoms, or anything you type into our website.
9. Calls, texts, and email
If you call, text, or email us, you agree that we may respond by the same method or another method you provide. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop text messages. Text and ordinary email are not guaranteed to be secure; do not use them for emergencies or detailed health information.
10. Data retention and security
We keep information as long as reasonably necessary for treatment, legal, regulatory, payment, operational, and record-retention purposes. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
11. Adults only
Our services are for adults 18 years of age and older. Our website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through it. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it unless we must keep it by law.
12. Your choices and rights
Depending on the information involved, you may have rights under HIPAA, Texas law, or other applicable law. For health information, see our Notice of Privacy Practices. To ask about information collected through this website, contact us using the details below.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, vendors, or legal obligations change. The current version will be posted here with a revised date.
