Americare Telehealth / Refill guide
Ran Out of Your Regular Medication?
If your regular maintenance medication runs out while your usual prescriber is unavailable, Americare can evaluate whether a temporary bridge refill is medically appropriate for eligible adults in Texas.
$39 self-pay applies to patients not using insurance for the visit. Prescriptions are never guaranteed.
First check your usual options
Contact your regular prescriber and ask your pharmacy whether authorized refills remain. If that is not possible or would cause an unsafe interruption, a bridge-refill evaluation may help.
What Americare does
A Texas-licensed clinician reviews your established medication, current condition, relevant history, records, labs, and safety information when needed. If a bridge refill is medically appropriate, the prescription is sent to your pharmacy of choice.
A bridge refill is still a medical encounter
The $39 fee pays for the clinical evaluation, not a prescription. Prescribing is never guaranteed. Some situations require updated testing, records, video, or in-person evaluation.
