Which tests you need depends on your symptoms, exposure and clinical assessment. This STI panel is not a yeast or bacterial-vaginosis test and does not replace a pelvic examination or other testing your clinician recommends. Collection methods depend on the ordered tests; the full panel is not a urine-only test.
Call 469-951-0477 to confirm the order, testing arrangements and total price. Insurance billing may differ from these self-pay prices.
Which tests do I need?
Do I need the whole STI panel?
Not necessarily. The right tests and timing depend on symptoms, exposure sites, exposure dates and prior results. A negative test very soon after exposure may not exclude infection. The $145 bundle is a pricing option, not a universal screening recommendation; discuss the usefulness and limitations of herpes blood testing before choosing it. Additional site-specific specimens or repeat testing may be needed. STI testing does not diagnose every cause of vaginitis.
Testing choices depend on your symptoms, exposures and timing. Your clinician can discuss which tests are appropriate and their limitations. UTI vs STI symptoms guide.
Local testing through Clinical Pathology Laboratories (CPL)
Americare partners with CPL for laboratory testing, including self-collected specimens when appropriate for the ordered test and available at the collection site. Your clinician explains what to collect and arranges the laboratory order when needed.
Call the CPL location before traveling. Confirm that it can collect or accept your ordered specimen, including any self-collected vaginal swab, and ask about instructions, appointments, identification and payment. Do not collect or bring a sample without the correct kit and instructions. Availability of a specific test or self-collection option is not guaranteed at every location.
Laboratory testing and self-collection do not replace a pelvic examination when your clinician requires one. Lab charges are separate from the $39 clinical evaluation; confirm insurance coverage or self-pay pricing before collection.

After testing
Ask Americare how and when results will be communicated. If you have not received results within the timeframe given, contact the practice. Do not assume no news means normal results. Seek prompt care for worsening symptoms rather than waiting for results.
