UTI symptoms? Start with a private online evaluation in DFW.
Burning, urgency or frequent bathroom trips can disrupt your day. Americare helps you understand whether care can begin online or whether you need testing or an examination.
$39 self-pay evaluation. No membership. Medication and outside testing cost extra. Prescriptions are provided only when medically appropriate.
Current service: secure video evaluation for new symptoms. Same-day care depends on clinician availability. No guaranteed antibiotic or turnaround time.
First: when not to wait online
Seek prompt in-person assessment for fever or chills, back or side pain, vomiting, or feeling very ill. These symptoms can signal kidney involvement. Pregnancy with urinary symptoms also needs prompt clinical assessment. Severe pelvic or testicular pain, inability to urinate, or worsening symptoms need urgent attention.
Call 911 for confusion, fainting, trouble breathing or another potentially life-threatening symptom. Do not wait in a virtual queue.
Local care, without the drive to a waiting room
Available to adults physically in Texas, including Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Garland, Plano, Richardson, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Fairview and surrounding DFW communities. Care is led by Nicholas Atudonyang, MD, a board-certified physician; your clinician must be authorized for your location.
Our Fairview clinical office is at 163 Town Place, Suite 68. In-person care is by appointment and is separate from this online evaluation. Meet Dr. Atudonyang · In-person care options.
How the evaluation works
- Check in securely. Have your symptom timeline, medicines, allergies, pharmacy and relevant test results ready.
- Meet your clinician by video. Discuss symptoms, pregnancy possibility, prior infections and other factors affecting care. Identity and physical location are confirmed.
- Get a plan. Treatment, testing or in-person evaluation may be recommended. If prescribed, medication goes to the pharmacy you choose.
Clinic hours: Monday–Friday 11 AM–7 PM; Saturday noon–4 PM Central. Closed Sunday. Call 469-951-0477 for help connecting. Replies outside hours are not immediate.
What to tell your clinician
Describe when symptoms began and whether you have burning, urgency, frequency or lower abdominal discomfort. Mention visible blood, fever, back pain, vomiting, discharge, itching, possible STI exposure, pregnancy possibility, kidney problems, a catheter, recent antibiotics or repeated infections. These details help determine the next step.
What can I do while arranging care?
Drink water if you can and have not been told to restrict fluids. Do not use leftover or someone else’s antibiotics. Seek clinical assessment for suspected UTI symptoms. If treatment starts, contact your clinician if symptoms fail to improve or get worse.
DFW UTI questions, answered
Can I get UTI treatment online in Dallas or Fort Worth?
Selected urinary symptoms can start with an online clinical evaluation. Your clinician decides whether testing, treatment or an in-person examination is appropriate. A prescription is not guaranteed.
Can I get antibiotics without a video visit?
Americare Virtual Walk-In currently uses secure video for new symptom evaluations. This page does not offer questionnaire-only UTI prescribing. A clinician must assess whether an antibiotic is appropriate; completing a form alone does not guarantee treatment.
How much does an online UTI evaluation cost?
The self-pay evaluation is $39. Medication, outside urine tests and later visits cost extra. BCBSTX PPO patients should ask about coverage before paying; patient responsibility depends on the plan.
Will I need a urine test?
Sometimes. Your history and symptoms guide the decision. Recurrent symptoms, recent antibiotics, pregnancy or other risk factors can make testing particularly important. A home test does not replace clinical assessment.
How quickly can I be seen?
Join during clinic hours: Monday–Friday 11 AM–7 PM and Saturday noon–4 PM Central, closed Sunday. Waits depend on clinician availability and patient volume. There is no guaranteed 60-minute review or pharmacy pickup time.
Can you send a prescription to my DFW pharmacy?
When medically appropriate, your clinician sends the prescription to your selected pharmacy. Confirm its location and opening hours. Stock, price and dispensing are determined by the pharmacy; pickup timing is not guaranteed.
Is urinary burning always a UTI?
No. STI-related inflammation, vaginal infections and other conditions can cause similar symptoms. Tell your clinician about discharge, itching, sores, pelvic symptoms and possible exposures so the evaluation can address the right cause.
What happens if I need in-person care?
Your clinician explains the next step. You may use any appropriate facility. The $39 fee is refunded if you cancel before clinical review begins; after review begins it generally pays for the evaluation even if treatment requires care elsewhere.
Do I need an app, and is this anonymous?
Use the browser-based secure check-in; no app download is required to join. Medical care is private but not anonymous: identity, age, physical location and consent must be confirmed. Share medical details through the secure workflow, not ordinary SMS.
Can I read this information without booking?
Yes. This page and the linked health guides are free to read. No payment, account or appointment is required to read the educational information.
Other symptoms DFW patients ask about
Can I manage this at home, wait until tomorrow or use telehealth?
The answer depends on severity, duration and your health risks. Mild, improving cold or allergy symptoms may be manageable with general self-care, but suspected UTI symptoms deserve clinical advice. Do not postpone assessment for fever with back pain, pregnancy-related concerns or worsening illness. For chest pain, severe breathing difficulty, stroke symptoms, fainting or another emergency, call 911. A virtual visit cannot rule out every serious cause. Compare care settings.
Allergies, cold, flu or COVID?
North Texas allergies can overlap with infection symptoms. Itching and sneezing may suggest allergies but do not exclude infection. Symptoms alone cannot reliably distinguish flu from COVID; testing may help. Note when symptoms began and ask promptly about treatment if you are at higher risk of serious illness. While ill, reduce close contact with others and follow current public-health guidance. Antihistamines and nasal sprays may help selected allergy symptoms; oral steroid bursts are not a promised or automatic treatment. Respiratory symptom guide.
Do I need antibiotics for green mucus, sinus pressure or sore throat?
Mucus color alone does not establish bacterial infection. Many respiratory infections improve without antibiotics. Duration, worsening after initial improvement, severity and testing affect treatment decisions. A persistent or worsening cough may need examination. Antibiotics are prescribed only when appropriate; a strep swab may be needed. URI, sinus and antibiotic answers.
Can I get an inhaler refill?
Bring the exact inhaler name, dose, label and a description of current symptoms and use. Increasing rescue-inhaler use needs assessment rather than an automatic refill. Severe breathing trouble is an emergency.
Can a photo diagnose a rash or pink eye?
Photos may help assess a rash, eczema flare, possible fungal infection, poison ivy or insect bite, but some need examination. Rapid progression, severe pain or systemic symptoms need prompt care. Eye pain, light sensitivity or blurred vision needs prompt eye assessment; contact-lens wear matters. Pink eye is not always bacterial and antibiotic drops are not guaranteed. A stye also needs assessment if severe or worsening; do not squeeze it. Pediatric pink eye and school clearance are outside our adult service.
